Hand & Lock, London's premier embroidery house, has announced it will be hosting a star-studded 250th anniversary gala dinner and designer auction on 6 December 2017 at the prestigious Draper's Hall, London.

For their special anniversary, Hand & Lock - embroidery house to top international design houses and the Royal Family - have collaborated with renowned luxury accessory designers and companies such as Asprey, Lulu Guinness, Vivienne Westwood, House of Holland, Globe Trotter and Agnes B to design and produce 13 unique bags that will be auctioned off for QEST and the H&L Prize for Embroidery.

All funds raised on the night will go directly to supporting craftsmanship in the UK through the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust and the Hand & Lock Prize for Embroidery.

Guests who attend the gala will be treated to an exquisite black-tie dinner followed by a Sotheby's-hosted auction of the beautifully-made designer handbags, fittingly named 'The Embellished Handbag' charity auction.

Hand & Lock, which is also the embroidery house to the British Royal Forces, can trace it's origins back to 1767 when a French Huguenot refuge started his lace and accoutrements business in London's Spitalfields. 250 years later the company has added to their extensive list of embroidery services; in 2017 it has a reputation for couture embroidery and exquisite monogramming, as well as ceremonial, tradition and ecclesiastical embroideries.
