Jennifer Lopez stepped out in serious style on Thursday night as she enjoyed a date night in New York with her boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez, on his 42nd birthday. Jennifer, who celebrated her 48th birthday earlier in the week, opted for a chic ensemble, teaming a nude vest top with side slits and a pair of khaki wide leg trousers that featured a peplum waist. An oversized white wool cardigan and leg-lengthening stilettos completed her look. When it came to accessories, the mother-of-two dressed up her look with a large white handbag and big hoop earrings.

Beauty-wise, Jennifer scraped her long, honey-hued hair up in a messy topknot, which drew attention to her pretty make-up look. The singer enhanced her complexion with a glowy base and sweep of bronzer across the apples of her cheeks, and drew attention to her large eyes by dusting a shimmer eyeshadow over her lids, a bold outline of black liner and lashings of mascara. A natural lipstick finished off her look.
Alex, meanwhile, looked dapper in a grey suit and a crisp white shirt and patent black shoes as he celebrated his big day. It has certainly been a fun-filled time for Jennifer and Alex.

Over the weekend, the Shades of Blue actress was surprised with a special party in Miami, which was attended by 50 of the pair's closest friends and family. Jennifer turned heads in a semi-sheer cutout Bao Tranchi dress for the occasion.
The actress took to her Instagram to post photos from the party including one of her and Alex snuggling close in a booth. Alongside the picture, the mum-of-two wrote, "Celebrating our lives...
