Having made her mark in everything from conical bras to leather corsets, there's little doubt Madonna is a woman who knows how to make a style statement. The Queen of Pop will soon be making her mark in rather less provocative attire, though, after agreeing to model H&M's latest collection.

The mum-of-two put an end to weeks of speculation linking her with the Swedish firm by confirming she would indeed be fronting its latest campaign. And the iconic singer is evidently willing to continue representing the high street giants when she's not performing, as she and the rest of her crew will be wearing the label's clothes off-stage throughout her Confessions tour.

"Partnering up with H&M feels like a perfect fit," said the 47-year-old. "We'll all get to express ourselves in our own individual ways." Madonna's fans will be pleased to hear she's also agreed to design a trendy tracksuit, just like the one she wears herself in her free time, for the company.

And the firm's creative director, Margareta Van Den Bosch, was equally delighted to have the Material Girl on board. "This is a thrill for H&M," she said. "Aside from being great fans of Madonna's music and fashion sense, we admire her ability to always be ahead of the trends in everything she does."
