Victoria Beckham is known for naming items from her fashion collection after her loved ones, having designed a Harper slipper in honour of her six-year-old daughter last year. So it comes as no surprise that the former Spice Girl has now decided to pay tribute to her best friend Eva Longoria in the same way. On Wednesday, the mother-of-four introduced her latest offering to the footwear world on her Instagram account – the Eva Pump. The gorgeous suede shoe features a stiletto heel and open front, and comes in a range of colours – orange, berry and black.

The £550 design is part of Victoria's SS18 collection, and the star proudly shared photos of the shoe on her Instagram account. Alongside a series of photos showing the three colour choices, she wrote: "Work some colour into your wardrobe with the Eva Pump – brand new for #VBPreSS18. Choose your favourite shade at or #VBDoverSt now! X VB."

Fans were quick to comment on the gorgeous shoe, with many picking up on the fact she had named it after the former Desperate Housewives actress. One wrote: "How sweet and named after the very sweet Eva Longoria," while another said: "Eva Longoria pump," accompanied by a love heart emoji face. A third added: "Love them! Named after your bestie @evalongoria? So sweet." Others were complimentary of the design: "Beautiful!!" one said, as another joked: "If only I could afford a pair!"

Victoria and Eva are firm friends, and Victoria even designed Eva's "dream" wedding dress when she tied the knot with Jose 'Pepe' Antonio Baston in 2016. In an exclusive interview with HELLO! Magazine at the time, Desperate Housewives star Eva opened up about choosing Victoria to create her bridal gown.

She explained: "I asked Victoria to do my dress because I wanted it to be special and made with love – and I knew Victoria would make it with love. "Victoria was one of my witnesses, too – she signed the paper that says I was here – so it was a Victoria Beckham weekend. She was the best, sweetest person to have there on this day. Not only did she do my wedding dress but she's one of my best friends so for her to be there was so special."
