Amal Alamuddin wows in Oscar de la Renta gown as she weds George Clooney

Amal Alamuddin looked breathtakingly beautiful on Saturday as she wed George Clooney.As the exclusive pictures in this week's HELLO! magazine show, the 36-year-old wore a custom-made French lace Oscar de la Renta gown which was embroidered with pearls and diamanté accents. The stunning dress had a gorgeous lace overlay and off-the-shoulder sleeves.

Amal, who is an acclaimed human rights lawyer, also wore a veil which had a matching lace pattern. Her raven locks tumbled loosely over her shoulders while she kept her make-up simple with peach blush and coral lips.

The groom, meanwhile, looked dapper in a black tuxedo custom-made by his friend Giorgio Armani as part of the Made to Measure collection, and a 18K white gold OMEGA De Ville Trésor watch. Ahead of the ceremony George was gifted a pair of cufflinks from Amal, with his name inscribed in Arabic.

All eyes were on Venice at the weekend as George and Amal's wedding celebrations drew the attention of the world's press and celebrity watchers from across the globe.

Family and friends had travelled from more than 30 countries to witness the nuptials, applauding the couple as they exchanged vows with platinum wedding bands in a half hour-long ceremony. A-list guests included Matt Damon, Bill Murray, Bono, George's best friend Rande Gerber and his wife Cindy Crawford.The bride and groom partied into the early hours of Sunday morning after an intensely romantic candle lit ceremony in the seven-star Aman Grande Canal Hotel. Their friend Walter Veltroni, an Italian writer and politician, and former mayor of Rome officiated, and during the lavish reception that followed the bride's father Ramzi Alamuddin is said to have told the couple: "Now it's time for grandchildren." The pair looked to still be on a high as they finished off their weekend of lavish celebrations by signing the official wedding register on Monday.
