Supermodel pals Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn stepped their friendship up a gear by getting matching tattoos.

The girls shot a DKNY campaign together before heading to a tattoo parlour in New York to get two entwined Ds inked on their hips.

They went to famous tattooartist Bang Bang, who is behind most of Cara's body inkings.

Naturally, Cara and Jourdan debuted their new tattoos on Instagram.

"So happy we got our DDs! Thank you @bangbangnyc #throwsomedsonthat #DDs4life," Cara wrote along her snap of the pair making heart shapes around their tattoos.

Jourdan added: "Throw some D's on that… @bangbangnyc @caradelevingne #DDs."

Cara already has several inkings, including a lion on her finger and a 'Made In England' etching on the sole of her foot.

The pair are shooting a DKNY campaign together and Cara took to Instagram the previous day to post a photo of her holding up a sign with the hashtag #CaraWantsYou.

"Guys! So, I created a sick special-edition collection with @donnakarandkny coming later this year, and I WANT YOU to be in the campaign with me!" she captioned the snap.

Meanwhile, Cara joined forces with another of her BFFs, Suki Waterhouse, to front Burberry's new Bloomsbury-inspired campaign.

The pair, who live together in London, look stunning in the British brand's new shots.
