Alexis Bledel channelled ethereal elegance in a delicately beaded gown at the second night of the Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Sunday.

The 35-year-old brunette beauty had a successful evening at the awards, taking home the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama prize for her role in The Handmaid's Tale. That wasn't her only win, however, as Alexis' ensemble also saw her top her fair share of best-dressed lists.

The former Gilmore Girls star was the picture of feminine beauty in the pale pink gown, which featured floral and beaded details as well a nude slip underneath to protect Alexis' modesty.

The actress teamed her dress with strappy metallic heels, diamond jewellery and a slick of dark red lipstick. But it was her blue ribbon accessory that caused the biggest stir. Alexis, who has never made a secret of her dislike of U.S. President Donald Trump or his administration, pledged her support for the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) with the political ribbon, with the organisation later tweeting: "Congratulations, @alexisbledel! And thank you for standing with the ACLU."

Alexis certainly wasn't the only famous face to stand out on the red carpet at the Creative Arts Emmys, however. Orange Is The New Black star Laverne Cox courted attention in a black and gold Mikael D gown, which featured a thigh-high split with gold chain detailing along one hip and arm and the decolletage. She teamed her gown with an Edie Parker clutch, Kenneth Cole stilettos, and lashings of jewellery.

Transparent star Kathryn Hahn went for a safe but effective fashion choice in her ruffled red gown as she posed for photographers at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, while Leah Remini went for a modest option in a floral dress with a pussybow neckline.

Newlywed Julianne Hough also dressed to impress for the occasion, wearing a blush pink silk dress which clung to her gym-honed figure in all the right places.
