Queen Letizia dazzled in a classic Carolina Herrera gown while visiting Las Palmas in Gran Canaria on Monday. The Spanish royal accessorised the demure red and white floral pencil dress with a large red clutch bag and silver leaf Chanel earrings, along with a gorgeous pair of scarlet red heels by Marsala de Lodi. This isn't the first time that Queen Letizia has shown off her great sense of style by wearing the Carolina Herrera number, as she has previously worn the ensemble in September during a trip to New York, again in October for the Principe de Asturias Awards and once more in March during her official visit to Portugal.

Queen Letizia recycled the chic look

The mother-of-two and her husband King Felipe will soon be visiting the UK upon invitation of the Queen. The state visit will take place between 6 to 8 June, where the royal couple will be staying at Buckingham Palace. The pair originally intended to visit in 2015, but were forced to postpone their visit due to the hung parliament in Spain. At the time, an official statement issued by the Spanish Foreign Office read: "Notice is given that due to the process of the formation of a new government currently underway in Spain, [the state] visit has been postponed."

The Queen looked stunning during her visit

The couple have also recently returned from a trip to Japan, where Queen Letizia wore an array of stunning brands, including a tulle gown and a red bespoke coat by Felipe Varela, and a green patterned dress by Carolina Herrera.
