London Fashion Week returns on Friday 17 February, with over 5,000 guests descending upon the capital to see the AW17 offerings from designers including Molly Goddard, Osman and Julien Macdonald. Featuring 51 catwalk shows and 32 presentations, it is set to be an action-packed five days!

LONDON FASHION WEEK: The designers to look out for at the AW17 shows

The 65th edition of LFW will once again highlight how diverse and innovative the British fashion industry is, with 50% of the designers behind brands on the show schedule born outside of the United Kingdom. The schedule will feature a number of new design talent from the BFC's NEWGEN initiative, along with London Fashion Weeks such as Burberry and Erdem.

London Fashion Week AW17 will return to the capital on Friday

  • £28billion direct contribution to the UK economy from the UK fashion economy

  • 120 designers will showcase in the Designer Showrooms at The Store Studios on the Strand

  • 32,000 miles will be driven between shows by a fleet of fuel efficient chauffeured Mercedes-Benz cars

  • 20,000 espressos will be served and 200kg of Lavazza coffee beans will be roasted on site.

  • 5,000 glasses of Scavi & Ray prosecco will be served to guests at The Store Studios

  • NEW YORK FASHION WEEK: All the latest photos

  • 3,571 units of label.m hair products are used backstage each season

  • 3,000 key cards designed by Roland Mouret will be given to guests at The May Fair

  • 225 makeovers will be completed for guests in the Maybelline New York Lounge on-site at London Fashion Week

  • £700,000 was raised by The Fashion Awards 2016 and donated to the BFC Education Foundation and to support NEWGEN, Business Support and the BFC Colleges Council

  • 880,000 jobs are supported by the UK fashion industry – up from 797,000 in 2013
