When you're filling in for Holly Willoughby for an entire summer, you know there are some seriously big fashion boots to fill. But Ruth Langsford, who is presenting This Morning until September alongside Eamonn Holmes, proved she can hold her own in the style stakes by stepping out in a cheery candy pink dress from Duchess Kate's favourite high street store, LK Bennett. The 58-year-old shared a video to her Instagram page of her doing a twirl in the frock, which features a figure-slimming fit, cap sleeves and a v-shaped neckline, and sits just below the knees. Ruth styled the dress with a pair of nude high heeled court shoes from Nine West, and added a silver bracelet and stud earrings. She wore her blonde hair blowdried sleek and straight, and kept her makeup subtle.

Pink is just perfect for summer

In the video, which was shot a few minutes before the start of the show, Ruth describes her outfit of the day to her followers, saying “this little pink number is from LK Bennett.” Then her co-presenter Eamonn steps into the frame, saying “Can I just ask something – why do you do all of this?” to which Ruth replies “Because people like to know where my clothes are from”. A rather put-out Eamon retorts “Why does nobody ask me where my clothes are from?” to which Ruth playfully announces “because they don’t care – goodbye” before pushing her partner out of the frame.

Both the funny video and the pretty outfit went down a hit with fans, with one commenting "Lovely colour on you Ruth" and another adding "You two do make me laugh!"

The Duchess of Cambridge has worn many of LK Bennett's stunning designs over the years. One her favourite pairs of shoes has to be the Sledge heel pump, which she has been wearing in a classic nude shade since 2011.
