We're always keeping an eye out for what the Countess of Wessex is wearing to her royal engagements – the 53-year-old has proved herself something of a style icon in recent years thanks her bold yet elegant fashion choices. And she was back to work on Monday after the weekend's Trooping the Colour in a fab multi-coloured maxi dress that's just perfect for summer nights. Sophie attended a charity dinner at Leeds Children's Hospital wearing a white shirt dress featuring a daring multicoloured llama pattern in pink, aqua, orange and blue. The quirky print has a Latin American feel to it, and is making us dream of exotic travels to warmer climes.

Sophie teamed the bold Galvan dress, which is currently on sale for £717, with a contrasting silver snakeskin clutch bag and a light blue pashmina to ward off those evening chills. She wore a silver pendant necklace and a matching pair of earrings, and styled her hair in her trademark neat up 'do. She added a subtle smokey eye and kept the rest of her makeup natural.

Earlier in the day the Countess met with patients at the hospital, of which she is patron, and opened a new children's clinical research facility. For her daytime engagements she chose a summer daisy print tea dress by Suzannah, which featured a flattering flared skirt, three quarter length sleeves and a v-cut neckline. She teamed it with nude pointed court shoes.

Over the weekend, the Countess looked stunning in a bold pink ensemble at 2018's Trooping The Colour. The rosy outfit, which is reminiscent in tone to that of the Duchess of Cambridge's iconic pink 2017 dress, was teamed with a contrasting cream hat, and featured striking puff sleeves and an open back. Sophie rode in a carriage alongside her daughter Lady Louise, as well as Princess Beatrice, in matching pink, and Princess Eugenie, who wore an emerald green outfit.
