Last week, Marks & Spencer released its ‘dress of the summer’, the one that went viral before it even went on sale. It all started back in March when the @marksandspencerfashionpr account Instagrammed a photo, giving a little tease as to the upcoming release, and when the blue and white striped dress dropped at the end of May, it was an instant sell-out. And now, well, they’ve done it again! On Thursday morning a photo was posted of a gorgeous black and white leopard print dress with a pop of neon orange going down the side. The dress, seen on Victoria from the M&S fabric sourcing team, is coming soon and we predict another winner.

The flattering midi design will be a Limited Edition dress and it’ll be dropping in June. With three-quarter length sleeves and a cinched in waist, the dress will look super chic with a pair of strappy sandals, or a pair of espadrilles or even a pair of boots - as seen on Victoria.

Fashion fans are already commenting on the photo, eager for it to go on sale. One user wrote: “I hope you have made enough dresses,” while another said: “Really love this!” And another avid fan wrote in shouty capitals: “WANT WANT WANT.”

Despite disappointing figures, the British retailer has been having something of a moment recently, with a whole roster of celebrities causing sartorial storms after being spotted in its pieces. Meghan Markle sent fashion fans into a frenzy in January when she stepped out wearing a black batwing Marks & Spencer jumper – prompting thousands to rush out to buy the chic sweater and cause a sell-out on the fashion retailer's website. It soon appeared on eBay for up to £149, with plenty of shoppers eager to get hold of it. Just last week - closer to home - Christine Lampard also wowed everyone in her M&S dress. Which celebrity will be wearing this leopard print number in June, we wonder?
