The Duchess of Cambridge's mum, Carole Middleton, attended the royal wedding looking absolutely gorgeous in mint green. The 63-year-old was beaming with joy as she walked into the chapel in a bespoke Katherine Walker dress and jacket two-piece. The former flight attendant is a pro at dressing for weddings these days, after being the mother-of-the-bride at the wedding of her daughter Kate and her youngest daughter Pippa. For both of their weddings she opted for Catherine Walker, proving a love of British couture. She accessorised with Emmy London Poppy heels in vapour.

Carole and her husband Michael Middleton have been looking forward to the wedding – their supply company, Party Pieces, has stocked up on everything from Union Jack flags and bunting, to confetti and banners. On the website, customers can search "royal wedding" which brings up a whole host of royal-themed items. Carole launched Party Pieces in 1987 and has continued to grow the business over the past 30 years.

It has certainly been a busy few months for Carole – as well as Kate giving birth to Prince Louis in April, her younger daughter Pippa is pregnant with her first child with husband James Matthews. According to The Sun on Sunday, Pippa, 34, and 42-year-old James, a hedge fund manager, are said to be "overjoyed" with the news. They got engaged in July 2016, and tied the knot at St Mark's Church in Englefield on 20 May 2017. It is believed that Pippa and James told close family and friends the happy news after the 12-week scan. Pippa and Kate are famously close, with Pippa serving as Maid of Honour at her 2011 wedding to Prince William, where she dutifully held up the train on her Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding dress.

Carole was on hand shortly after the birth of her daughter Kate's new son, and was spotted visiting Kensington Palace along with her son James two days the birth. The doting grandma was also on hand to help with the school run as she was pictured collecting Prince George, four, from school.
