Lorraine Kelly channelled her inner sailor on Thursday morning as she wowed viewers in a white and black knitted sweater by Zara, which set her back just £17.99. The eye-catching top is part of the brand's current collection, and is available in store now in all sizes. She teamed the striped delight with a white pencil skirt, which boasted a high waist cut, statement buttons and a front split by Marks & Spencer. High heel red shoes were added in to the mix – priced at £75 from Aldo. The 58-year-old wore her brunette hair in her signature wavy style and subtle makeup highlighted her pretty features.

Stripes are a great look for the Scottish star – last week she worked the micro trend in a £49 frock from Topshop – which proceeded to sell out. The trending design featured an orange and white stripe selection, and had voluminous, cape-like sleeves, a nipped in waist and a flowing, asymmetric hem.

The eye-catching design is one of the high street brand's most popular items this season and has been worn by a variety of different celebrities, including Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley who donned the frock on the Zoe Ball on Sunday show recently.

Rosie made a guest appearance during Mark Heyes' popular fashion segment and delighted fans when they wore the tailored high street suit, proving you can indeed look expertly stylish in your fifties - simple styling tweaks can be made to make any outfit suitable for both mothers and daughters. Lorraine chose to wear stiletto high heel and a basic blue top with her suit, and Rosie meanwhile jazzed up her two piece with trainers, a statement rainbow bag and bold earrings.
