The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s hospital in Paddington, West London, early on Monday morning and gave birth to a baby boy at 11.01am. And there was one particular person on hand to help Duchess Kate prepare for announcing the happy the news to the world – her long-time stylist, Natasha Archer. The close friend and employee of the Royal Family was spotted leaving the hospital at 10am, four hours after Kate was admitted. In pictures obtained by MailOnline, Natasha is dressed in brown patterned trousers and a simple black knitted jumper and appeared to be in great spirits as she made her way outside. This is everything you need to know about the Duchess's right-hand woman.

Natasha is regularly spotted in chic looks

She has been working for the family for over a decade

Natasha is affectionately known as "Tash" to the family, and began working as a PA in Prince William and Kate's office in 2007. In 2014 she secured the role of style advisor. According to insiders, the 30-year-old had been tasked with making Kate look more "regal" as per the Queen's request.

She is said to have secured the job because she is able to relate to Kate's desire to dress and look her age, and also retain her style icon status. "Initially Kate was a reluctant fashion icon, but now she enjoys it," an insider previously told Vanity Fair. "She has persuaded Kate to take some more risks. The hemlines are shorter and Kate’s really pushing the boat out in the fashion stakes."

She’s a bit of a shopaholic

Natasha reportedly orders items online for Kate constantly, as well as putting in the requests for those all-important bespoke gowns (we bet she's got Jenny Packham on speed-dial). Her own wardrobe seems to be packed full of Longchamp, Diane von Furstenberg and Jenny Packham too – she even wore a dress designed by the latter during her wedding last year.

Her partner is also in the royals' trusted circle

Last year Natasha got married to Getty’s royal photographer, Chris Jackson, who has shot many intimate portraits of the family. This possibly makes them the UK’s number one royal-connected couple – we wouldn’t mind being a fly on a wall during one of their dinnertime conversations…

She’s smart as well as stylish

She was educated at Uppingham School and King's College, where she graduated in Hispanic Studies.

She regularly travels with the Cambridges

As well as helping the Duchess prepare for announcing the birth of her children – Natasha was spotted sneaking into the Lindo Wing with a huge hamper bag shortly before the arrival of Prince George in 2013 – she regularly accompanies Kate and husband Prince William on royal tours, ensuring the Duchess's outfits are both stylish and suitable.

On the royal tour of India in 2016, the Duchess wore a printed dress by Mumbai-born designer Anita Dongre, which Natasha altered. "In India a lot of women would wear this [dress] with trousers and a stole," Anita explained to The Telegraph. "Her stylist has taken the stole and converted part of that into the belt and then chopped it off so it can be worn as a dress. She's amazing – it looks easy, breezy and so contemporary."
