Alex Jones appeared on the Lorraine Show with Christine Lampard on Thursday to talk about her new book Winging It. The stunning mother-of-one looked incredible as she discussed her new project on its publication day - wearing a red floral ruffle top which retails for just £32 from high street mecca Topshop. The pretty design was the perfect item for spring as it was sleeveless and was light enough to wear on warmer days. It had a pie crust neckline which was trimmed with lace, which gave it a Victorian feel and the rose print gave it a feminine stance. She teamed it with a pair of form-fitting cropped jeans which tied up with yarn at the waist and funky wedge heels. The 41-year-old had her hair styled in a bouncy blow dry, with natural toned makeup, complete with a flawless base and she finished off the look with a rose-hued blush and bright pink lipstick.

Ahead of the show, Alex dazzled fans as she shared a makeup-free selfie with her fans on her Instagram account. Daring to bare her natural complexion, she wrote: "It's the big day and typically I've had no sleep! Hope the team @Lorraine have a truckload of make up!"

During her interview with 39-year-old Christine (who she replaced on the One Show in 2010) she expressed how challenging she found it returning to work after she had her son Teddy.

She said: "I think women find it hard to be able to admit that they want to go back to work and that they are going to go back a bit earlier than everyone thinks is acceptable. It's ok to say I like my job and I want to continue doing it while I’m a mother."

She added: "You've worked very hard to get where you are. Anyone who respects their job, they are scared about someone stepping in and doing it better. It is a worry."
