Although Meghan Markle usually sticks to Canadian designers, perhaps since it was her home for seven years while filming Suits, the now London-based future royal flew the flag for British designers on her latest outing in the UK with her fiancé, Prince Harry.

The royal couple visited Reprezent FM in Brixton on Tuesday, and the 36-year-old waved at the crowds before entering the building, which was established a decade ago to help young people socialise through radio in response to the rise in knife crime. Meghan looked classic as ever in a Smythe camel coat. Although Smythe is a Canadian brand, it appeared that the rest of the ensemble was entirely made up of British brands, perhaps in a nod to her new home, including Burberry trousers and a Marks and Spencer Autograph jumper, which is £45 and still available in all sizes, while the red one is currently on sale for £21. Meghan's scarf was also by the British brand Jigsaw, which is incidentally where her future sister-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge, worked as a buyer before entering the royal family.

Speaking about the radio station, Prince Harry told the founder and chief executive Shane Carey: "All this is amazing." Speaking about their visit, Shane told PA: "Since the visit was announced there's been massive excitement in the station - much more than I could have expected. We're having the spotlight shone on us from all the world's media pretty much, we've never had this attention. The whole point of this is that the young people learn how to be creative and then shine with it and they're really getting a chance now."

Presenter Gloria Beyi, 17, said: "For two people who are making headlines in the news to come to a place where there's usually just a little column in the newspaper (about us) - I think a lot of people thought those two worlds would never collide."
