Kate Garraway has set herself a big challenge this December – and all for a very good cause. The Good Morning Britain presenter has been taking part in the Save The Children Christmas jumper challenge, and has been wearing a different design each day to help raise money for children in need. The 50-year-old presenter has got creative in sourcing her 24 jumpers in the lead-up to the big day – and has even enlisted the help of her GMB work colleagues, including Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard.

The TV presenter told HELLO! Online: "I saw Emma Bunton the other day as I work down the corridor from her as I am on Smooth Radio and she works on Heart, and I asked her where her Christmas jumper was as she is doing the challenge too. I've been borrowing jumpers from my friends, including Susanna Reid, but its quite a lot Christmas jumpers – 24- but it's good fun! Ben Shephard said he has a really, really good one that he said he was going to bring into work for me. It's quite big for me but I'm thinking of wearing it as a jumper dress – is that cheating?!"

Come Christmas Eve, Kate is set to turn heads with her "most spectacular" design, and has even got her husband, Derek Draper, on board. "On the 24th I am going to be wearing my most spectacular jumper, and my kids will be wearing one too. And – he doesn’t know this yet – but Derek has got a very special Christmas jumper – it won't be his cup of tea, but it's hilarious," she laughed. Kate has been supporting many good causes this year.

The mother-of-two is currently on the look-out for Britain's best nurses, as the ambassador of the 2018 RCNi Nurse Awards. The prestigious awards is encouraging nurses up and down the country to vote for their colleagues, or put themselves forward in one of the 14 categories, including Cancer Nursing and Mental Health.

Of taking part, Kate said: "To see what young nurses take on – I just think they are amazing. There are so many different types of nurses and different types of skills. They are all so great and do such amazing things. Apart from having a night out at the awards which is always lovely, you really see just how much it means to those who win." Kate added: "There are so many nurses who do such great things and they would never think of nominating their colleagues or even themselves – as there is nothing wrong with putting yourself forward for the work you are doing."
