Following on from the news of her brother-in-law Prince Harry's engagement to Meghan Markle, The Duchess of Cambridge attended an official engagement on Tuesday morning, visiting the Foundling Museum in central London. The pregnant royal, who will welcome her third child in April, turned heads in a vibrant diamond print mid-length dress by Kate Spade, which finished just below the knee. It covered her small baby bump perfectly, and featured an on-trend contrasting hem detail, complete with a bold stripe. The chic ensemble was a comfortable, yet stylish choice for the 36-year-old, gently skimming over her tummy, while the pretty printed detail gave the design a statement edge.

Duchess Kate dazzled in the dress by Kate Spade

The Duchess braved the cold temperatures, sporting bare legs, and wore burgundy high heels that perfectly matched her crimson clutch bag. Kate kept her jewellery to a bare minimum, choosing simple drop earrings. Her brunette hair was styled in rich voluminous curls, and she enhanced her natural beauty with just a hint of natural lip gloss and brown eye-shadow.

Duchess Kate sported a fresh pregnancy glow

During her visit, Kate learned about the Museum's landmark history and its focus on the principles of using art and creativity as a means to support and engage children and vulnerable families. She appeared in high spirits, and sported a radiant, fresh pregnancy glow as she greeted staff during the official outing. The Foundling Museum explores the history of the Foundling Hospital, the UK's first children's charity and first public art gallery. From 1741 when the first babies were admitted, to 1954 when the last pupil was placed in foster care, the Foundling Hospital cared for and educated around 25,000 children.
