If you are looking to turn heads as you walk out the front door this winter, then you are bound to love Primark's new ankle boots - which were unveiled online on Tuesday. The patent black shoes are adorned with a whimsical floral print, and priced at just £16. And on close inspection, the design – described on Primark's Instagram account as "the boots of the moment" – looks just like Givenchy's floral print ankle boots – which are sold at a rather more costly £1,050. The only difference apart from the price is that Givenchy's version feature a studded buckle, while Primark's feature a side zip.

Shoppers have been desperate to get their hands on a pair of the fashionable footwear, and within an hour of Primark uploading a photo of them online, it had received over 9,000 likes. One fan wrote: "I've been looking for them everywhere," while another said: "100% want and need!" A third added: "I want these."

STORY: One of the largest Primark stores set to open in the UK

Primark has become renowned for its affordable designer replicates, and has been causing a storm on social media with its latest must-have pieces throughout the year – in particular its footwear. The high street store shared a range of patterned ballet shoes and slip-on loafers on their Instagram account earlier in the year, which were priced at just £8. Eagle-eyed fashion fans were quick to point out that Primark's shoes look almost identical to a £530 pair available in several different colours at Gucci. Primark also sold a pair of £10 red stilettos back in June, which looked exactly like luxury shoe designer Gianvito Rossi’s £550 'Portofino sandals.'

Givenchy are selling a similar pair - costing £1,050

Popular for its purse-friendly offerings, Primark has been on top of its game this year, and has constantly been impressing fans with its range of fashionable stock, which has ranged from must-have beauty products to an ultra-cute mini-me range for mothers and daughters. It has also been wowing with a magical selection of Disney merchandise, and a Harry Potter themed collection, that includes homeware and a clothing range.
