Lauren Conrad expanded her fashion empire on Wednesday by showcasing new sizes for curvier women in Los Angeles. The former The Hills star and lifestyle expert, who gave birth to her first son Liam with lawyer husband William Tell in July, also introduced Loey Lane, the plus-size model star behind her campaign, at LA's Beauty & Essex.

The new Runway collection, named Downtown Glam, is the latest addition to Lauren's extensive range of goods for U.S. department store Kohl's which includes clothes, shoes, jewellery, handbags, gifts, and even a bed and bath line.

"I thought, 'What better time to add Plus?'" she explained in an exclusive interview with Justjared.com at the event launch. "Every woman, no matter her shape and size, should have access to cute outfits for a great girls' night out."

She also noted that she's a longtime fan of YouTube star Loey.

"Loey was the perfect model for this," she said. "Typically I shoot the campaigns for my Lauren Conrad Kohl's collections but since I was heavily pregnant at the time I couldn't... What better way to introduce Plus than have the beautiful Loey Lane be our model."

In keeping with the clothes destined for glamorous nights, Lauren added a few new fabrics and finishes for a more showstopping effect. She lists "crushed velvet, metallic and shine as well as some faux fur and suede" as key elements.

And the new mum is already thinking about her next logical step in fashion - baby wear, insisting she needs "more experience" as a hands-on mother first.

For now, she's loving "every moment" as she watches her son grow and change daily, adding, "I didn't think I would instantly fall in love but I did."
