Carole Middleton took a leaf out of her daughter Kate's style book as she stepped out on day nine of Wimbledon. The mother-of-three looked strikingly similar to the Duchess of Cambridge wearing a blue and white patterned dress, which was nearly identical to a frock Kate wore on her tour to Canada last year.

Much like Kate's red and white dress, Carole's elegant £259 number by Rumour London, available to buy at WOLF & BADGER, featured a pleated, tiered skirt, an elaborate design and buttons down the front. Carole, who was attending Wimbledon with her husband Michael Middleton, completed her courtside look with blue heeled sandals and a navy, satin clutch. She had her shoulder-length hair perfectly styled into loose waves, and kept her make-up natural with a hint of blusher.

Kate's royal tour dress, meanwhile, cost £4,000 and was made by one of her favourite designers, Alexander McQueen. Prince William's wife wore it on the second day of her visit to Canada and looked stunning as she stepped off a seaplane in Victoria Harbour. The frock featured a red broderie anglaise pattern, a high-neck collar, full-length sleeves and a knee-length skirt, highlighting the Duchess' slender frame.

Carole, 62, and Michael, 68, arrived ahead of the Roger Federer vs Milos Raonic match on centre court. The Middleton matriarch is a well-known fan of the Swiss tennis player; last week she watched Roger play on centre court, seated alongside Roger's father, Robert. Her daughter Kate has also opened up about her mother fancying the tennis ace, saying: "Roger is my mother's heartthrob. I don't think she will mind me saying that! I think he probably knows that too." The Swiss pro is a good friend of the Middletons, and he and his wife Mirka were guests of honour at Pippa Middleton's wedding to James Matthews last month.

The Middletons are usually treated to VIP seats in the royal box, but earlier this week, Carole and Pippa had to forego their coveted places as they arrived too late at the match. The mother-daughter pair were watching Andy Murray play Benoit Paire, but were relegated to seats just outside of the royal box.
