Primark have slowly but surely been gaining a global reputation for channeling fashion designer’s pieces at ultra-affordable costs. So it came as no surprise when we discovered the latest offering – a pair of £10 red stilettos that bear a striking resemblance to luxury shoe designer Gianvito Rossi’s £550 ‘Portofino sandals.’ Apart from the price difference, there is very little difference between the two fabulous designs.

The leg-lengthening shoes feature ankle straps – albeit the Primark version is slightly more thin. And there are many different colours to choose from to. Primark offer the heels in brazen red and cream. Meanwhile, for a slightly higher cost, there are seven colour options available for the Gianvito Rossi version, including taupe leather red, cream and a glitzy black.   Gianvito’s Portofino sandals are described online as a ‘signature’  piece from the label, with A-listers including Charlize Theron a huge fan.

Primark have certainly made it easy for us to finding affordable, summer-ready shoes of late, and recently revealed a new range of patterned ballet shoes and slip on loafers priced at just £8. The high street store shared a snap of their new release on Instagram, and eagle-eyed fashion fans were quick to point out that Primark's shoes look almost identical to a £530 pair currently available in several different colours at Gucci.

Meanwhile, shoppers worldwide were desperate to get their hands on a pair of the store's £18 'embroidery crush' platform wedges last month, inspired by Dolce & Gabbana's floral print sandals, retailing at £683.

Primark also recently released backless mules that were very similar to a £475 Prada pair. Customers have the choice of three styles - dark denim, black and nude, which are on sale for an ultra-affordable £8, giving fans the opportunity to own a very similar pair of shoes at a fraction of the price. The shoes, which are the perfect thing to wear day or night, come in both midnight blue and black.
