Queen Maxima of the Netherlands made a number of enviable style statements in sun-drenched Italy this week. Working a series of show-stopping dresses in an array of colours, the Dutch royal looked a picture of sophistication and her fashion-forward get-ups look set to continue throughout her four-day state visit.
Queen Maxima looked chic as she landed in Palermo on Wednesday
On Wednesday she stepped out in Palermo wearing a sleeveless white peplum-style dress teamed with embellished wedge heels and a wide-brimmed hat. Maxima elevated the look further with a pair of gold fan-inspired earrings and a statement gold necklace.
On Tuesday the royal turned heads in Rome dressed in a pretty blush-pink midi design which she styled with an oversized hat in a co-ordinating shade. The fit and flare silhouette – from Belgian fashion label Natan - is ultra-feminine and the lace overlay adds interest to the look. She accessorised further with a pair of pale pink suede courts and plenty of gold jewellery.

A pair of oversized aviator sunglasses, a metallic basket bag and an assortment of gold bangles completed her stylish ensemble.
