The Duchess of Cambridge was radiant in red as she joined husband Prince William and her brother-in-law Prince Harry for an engagement in London on Thursday. Kate wore a new red Armani suit for the outing, where the royal trio opened the Global Academy in Hayes.

STORY: The reason why Kate always wears a clutch bag

The chic suit featured a red fitted jacket with zip front fastening, which she wore over a co-ordinating red dress. The Duchess accessorised the look with her signature nude court shoes and clutch bag, with her long brunette hair styled into a bouncy blow dry.

Kate was joined by Princes William and Harry to open the new Global Academy, which will support students preparing for radio, TV and digital media careers. As part of the visit the royal trio discussed mental health as part of their Heads Together campaign during a round-table debate with Nick Ferrari.

The mother-of-two's chic appearance at the event was a contrast to the casual look she wore for another Heads Together event at Kensington Palace on Wednesday. Kate looked relaxed in skinny jeans and a white, red and black striped jumper, which she accessorised with elegant drop earrings and of course, her stunning wedding ring.

Kate held a special reception for runners who will take part in the London Marathon this weekend. The 35-year-old, who will be cheering on participants from the sidelines on the day, welcomed the group to Kensington Palace and spoke to them about the different reasons they are competing in the 26-mile race. She wished them luck with their final preparations before the team took part in a training session with coach Nick Anderson.

The Duchess also praised her brother-in-law for speaking out about his own mental health, saying: "We all felt there was very much a campaign to get everyone talking and have these conversations, (so) we've got to do the same, you know, do the same - so he's been brilliant." When the headteacher added that Harry was a 'real hero to a lot of people,' Kate agreed saying 'absolutely'".
