Just weeks after discovering that Sarah Jessica Parker nearly turned down the role of Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City, the actress has revealed another set of shocking news – she didn't remember having filmed the pilot. "I shot [the pilot episode] and honest to God truth, I completely forgot about it," she said in an interview for new short film series Makers with AOL.

"I know no one will believe it. I forgot about it. I'm walking down the street one day and I run into this woman and she's a big fancy executive at a big movie studio. And she says to me, 'Oh my God, I just saw your pilot, Sex and the City.' And I said to her, 'What? What are you talking about?'"Last month, it was revealed that Sarah Jessica almost turned down the now iconic role.Seth Rudetsky, who recently worked with the style icon and her husband Matthew Broderick at a Broadway event, said that the pair spoke about her initial reservations.

"We, of course, talked about Sex and The City, and turns out, Sarah was reluctant to do the pilot because she didn't really want to do a series," he told Vogue."However she loved the script so she filmed it and then forgot about it. Months later she found out the show was picked up and she completely wanted to get out of it. I mean, completely. "Seth explained that Sarah Jessica was reluctant to get 'tied down' to one TV show. "She really didn't want to be tied down to one job because she loved going from gig to gig and being, what she called, a 'journeyman'," he continued. "She tried various ways to get out of it including telling HBO that she would film three projects for free if they'd release her from her contract! Basically, they convinced her to honour her deal, and she now has no regrets."
