Cara Delevingne, Kylie Jenner, Amanda Seyfried – they all know the power of a good plait. A suits-every-occasion hairstyle, they work for weddings, workouts and those days when you just can’t be bothered to wash your hair (it’s easier to hide greasy hair when it’s twisted into knots).

But plaits can be tricky to master, especially if you’re all fingers and thumbs, which is where Superdrug’s new braid bar steps in. Taking over from blow-dry bars, the concept was initially launched in Selfridges but was so popular with plait-hungry ladies that Superdrug have snapped up the concept.
Introducing The Braid Bar into five of their stores before the end of the year, the first one will open in Westfield White City this November followed by Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and a second London location to be revealed.
From the ‘Claudia’ halo braid to the super cool ‘Eva’ cornrows, prices start at £10 – a bargain when you think about how much time and effort you’d spend getting your hair tangled and twisted. Plus, if you’re super careful, you could easily sleep in your style and wake up for ready for round two, or take it out and rock that tousled hairstyle all the A-listers love.
