Globe-trotting Angelina back at work in New York

Angelina Jolie's whirlwind schedule had her back on the Good Shepherd film set this week, up to her ankles in snow and a long way from the more southerly destinations she has been jetting around recently.

Despite the frumpy cold weather gear of short camel-hair coat and fur-lined boots called for by her role as Clover Wilson, Brad Pitt's new love was looking her usual glamorous self as she resumed filming of the Robert De Niro-directed flick in New York state. The movie, which also stars De Niro, Matt Damon and Joe Pesci, focuses on four decades of CIA history, told through the eyes of Edward Wilson, one of its founding officers.

In recent months Angelina - who is a goodwill ambassador for the UN refugee agency - along with boyfriend Brad, seems to have been constantly on the move. At the end of November the couple were in Pakistan for a firsthand look at the refugee situation in the wake of the earthquake. Then, again accompanied by Angelina's adopted children, four-year-old Maddox and Zahara, 11 months, the pair jetted to Japan to promote Mr And Mrs Smith.

Earlier this week the Lara Croft star was back on her home turf, and once again wearing her activist's cap as she attended a human rights benefit in New York city. Meanwhile, her companion was making headlines of his own when it was revealed that he has applied to adopt her kids.
