The lady in question is Clementine Desseaux, who couldn't find work as a plus-sized model in Paris and moved to New York to give her career a go in another capital.Three years later, the 27-year-old is now the face of Christian Louboutin's new lipstick campaign.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Clemence, who is between a size 12 to 14, said that "such a big French brand using a curvier girl for her face is a big step."

She added: "Not for curvy women, not for freckles, just for women. The beauty norm is changing and differences that used to be weaknesses are now turning into strengths."

Christian Louboutin shared a short video starring the model with its 6.2 million Instagram followers earlier this week, calling Clemence 'a natural beauty'.

Speaking about moving to New York due to a lack of acceptance of her size and her gorgeous freckles in Paris, Clemence said: "Being curvy and freckly was never easy back when I was in France. "She added: "Now beauty is changing and brands are putting girls that are different in the spotlight."
