Victoria Beckham's favourite model Kasia Struss

Victoria Beckham seems to have a new favourite model. The former Spice Girl chose Polish beauty and model-of-the-moment Kasia Struss to walk down the catwalk last September to showcase her Spring/Summer 2013 collection for New York Fashion Week. The designer, wife of Paris Saint-Germain footballer David, loved the model so much that she also asked her to appear on the video footage of her new online shopping website, and tweeted her excitement. "Kasia for our new e-commerce site, coming soon! X vb" wrote Victoria.

Kasia, 25, who also modelled Victoria's Fall/Winter 2013-2014 collection, is in demand. She has featured almost monthly in American Vogue since 2010 as well as appearing in editions for France, China, Russia, Italy and Germany. She caused a stir in the fashion world when she sported a double denim combo, a known nineties fashion faux pas, for the cover of Mexican Vogue last year. Fellow model Ashika Pratt backed the look, saying, "Let's face it. A girl like Kasia Struss is going to look good in anything."Kasia, who was born Katarzyna Strusinka, was first discovered in 2005 when she sent her photos to a Polish teen magazine. She went on to complete high school in her home town of Ciechanów, before signing with a modelling agency to years later. This year, Kasia has already completed work on a campaign video for Juicy Couture Fall 2013 where she appears as a bad-girl rock star who has been jailed for being criminally fashionable. Kasia previously came under fire when she appeared in an advertising campaign for Miu Miu's Spring Summer collection 2011. Kasia, the face of Miu Miu, was criticised for looking too skinny in a pale dress that revealed her slender arms, shoulders and décolletage.

Victoria clearly feels that Kasia is a perfect fit for her designs. Victoria confident the website will stay true to her own voice. "My new website has been in the making for a very long time," said the mother of four. "It was so important that the concept, tone and look of it were true to me and my aesthetic and that the shopping experience was the very best that it could be for my customer." So far the e-commerce site hosts a series of flickering images and video clips of glamorous models like Cara Delevingne, who is dressed as a ballerina and dances on screen, while other models blow kisses at the camera and strut their stuff down a catwalk.
