Soon-to-be mum of four Heidi treats her young family a day of animal magic

After an exuberant night out on the red carpet when everyone commented how stunning she looked with her growing bump, Heidi Klum was back on family duty.

The fun-loving German supermodel – who was the talk of a glittering fashion awards ceremony when she let her actress pal Molly Sims kiss her blossoming midriff – treated her three children to an outing at Central Park Zoo in New York.

An added bonus as her youngsters got acquainted with some of four-legged residents at the attraction was the presence of their oma - or grandmother. Erna Klum is very close to her daughter and often flies out from her home near Cologne to help out with her growing family.

The child expected this later year will be Heidi's fourth. She and her musician husband Seal have two children together - Henry, three, and Johan, two - while the couple's oldest child Leni, five, is from a previous relationship of Heidi's.

With summer in full swing now, making the most of the warm and seeing some animal life seems to be a popular idea with little kids and big kids alike. Across the Atlantic in London Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts headed for a fun date at London Zoo with her boyfriend Charlie Fennell.

It was here that Britney Spears was spotted a few days earlier unwinding from her gruelling British tour with a day of fun and carousel rides with her toddlers. The Womanizer singer was enjoying herself so much with her beloved boys she hardly stopped beaming throughout the visit.
