Sarah Jessica Parker is bridesmaid for her former Sex and the City assistant
Sarah Jessica Parker served as bridesmaid for her friend Melinda Relyea at the weekend.
The pals have known for each other for a long time – Melinda worked as Sarah Jessica's assistant during her Sex and the City days, was an associate producer on both of the SATC films and has been the vice president of Sarah Jessica's Pretty Matches production company for over 12 years.

In a shot one of the bride's friends posted on Instagram, Sarah Jessica is seen posing outside with the bridal group in her bridesmaid dress. Flanked by her husband Matthew Broderick, the pint-sized star looked lovely in the fuchsia, strapless chiffon maxi number.
"The bride and her ladies! #melindaandjamie," a friend captioned the shot.
The ceremony took place at the First Presbyterian Church of Greenwich, followed by a reception at the Belle Haven Club.

Sarah Jessica also kept her own Instagram followers updated with the events of the special day.
"It's wedding day for Melinda! My bridesmaid dress, stretching, releasing wrinkles and then a quick disco nap before heading towards church and a very joyous day and night X sj," she wrote ahead of the ceremony alongside a snap of the dress hanging from a chandelier in her hotel room.
She then shared a snap of the bride and groom. Melinda looked stunning in a Carrie-inspired white dress with blue floral detailing.

She also posted a picture of the bride having her hair touched up by celebrity stylist Serge Normant, who regularly works with Sarah Jessica.
