Alesha Dixon: 'I'm happy in my own skin'
In an exclusive interview with HELLO! Online, Alesha Dixon revealed that she does not put pressure on herself when it comes to staying in shape.
The stunning Britain's Got Talent judge, who gave birth to baby daughter Azura last year, said she has "a positive attitude when it comes to weight".
"I don't fight what is natural," she said. "I'm happy in my own skin and I don't put pressure on myself – nor am I ashamed of my body, it carried my beautiful daughter."
In terms of eating, the singer prefers to eat clean and healthy. "I hate the word diet!" she said. "I choose to eat healthy 90 per cent of the time. I love to juice vegetables and eat very clean."
Alesha does, however, like to treat herself from time to time: "I also eat plenty of Malteasers!"
The star credits exercise with helping her to maintain her slim physique. "I look after myself by exercising," she said.
"I always have a trainer. I'm not obsessed with it but the benefits are great because it makes you feel so good. It changes your mindset to a positive one if you are feeling a bit tired or fed up."
Alesha also revealed that the secret to her flawless complexion is water, of which she suggests to "drink plenty".
She is also a fan of oil — "I love Coconut Oil and Vitamin E Oil," she said. "That's what I use every day. They are very natural and give your skin a glow" — and, of course, her top-selling fragrance, Rose Quartz.
Alesha announced the birth of her baby girl in October last year. Taking to Twitter, she called her bundle of joy "the best present in the world".
"My baby girl Azura Sienna was born last week!!! I'm elated and over the moon :) x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x," wrote Alesha.
The pop singer then explained what may have seemed like a sudden arrival to her fans, posting, "It seems quick because I was hiding it for so long!!! I was in my 6 month of pregnancy at the Britain's Got Talent final! :) xxx."
