Kate has a long-established relationship with Alexander McQueen, and has showcased a number of the British label's designs during her 19-day tour of Australia and New Zealand.

Most recently, she chose a chic dove grey McQueen coat for a church service in Sydney on Easter Sunday, teaming it with a hat in a slightly darker hue by Jane Taylor. She also turned to the label for an important appearance in New Zealand, stepping out in a fitted blue military coat to take part in a service of remembrance in the town of Blenheim.

Kate has also chosen McQueen for the significant moments in her personal life. At the christening for Prince George in October, the Duchess selected a formal yet fashion-forward cream ruffle outfit, which was applauded by commentators.

And, of course, there was her fairytale wedding gown, created for her by the brand's creative director Sarah Burton.

That collaboration marked the start of a firm relationship between McQueen and the stylish brunette.

Sarah has been behind many of Kate's sartorial hits since she became a royal, including the show-stopping red coat Kate wore to the the Diamond Jubilee festivities in 2011 and the white suit with pleated skirt she chose for the Trooping of the Colour in 2012.
