Kate Middleton exudes elegance in Australia's Outback

Kate Middleton showed the world how to dress for the Outback and exude style at the same time on her visit to Uluru, formally known as Ayers rock, on Tuesday.

The Duchess of Cambridge opted for Serbian designer Roksanda Ilincic for the second time since her arrival in Australia – she stepped off the plane in Sydney in a lovely yellow dress – wearing a taupe cap-sleeved dress. The loose-fitting, casual number was cinched in at the waist with a pale grey belt.

Kate, 32, combined comfort with class with her trustee nude LK Bennett pumps to complete the outfit.

A small matching clutch contained the essentials for the trip to the desert.

Prince William, meanwhile, was equally as casual for the trip to the country’s most famous natural landmark, prepared to stroll around the ancient sandstone monolith in beige jeans and a matching shirt, rolled up to the sleeves.

Roksanda Ilincic appears to be among Kate's favourite designers.

The brunette royal has worn several of her designs before, and wore exactly the same cut as on Tuesday back in 2012 for a reception at the Royal Academy.

The dress, which she also teamed with her nude pumps, appears to be identical but for a slightly more sheer, formal pale sheath.

Kate's desert style didn't stop there, though. The Duchess made a wardrobe change from her arrival dress into a recycled Hobbs grey and white summer dress, sensibly ditching the heels for a pair of wedges for teh rest of the afternoon.
