Katherine Jenkins never looks anything short of flawless, regularly making dazzling appearances at red carpet events.

The operatic singer favours tight-fitting, long dresses that maximise her femininity. As Katherine gears up to accept an OBE  at Buckingham Palace, HELLO! Online takes look at her best style moments...

Earlier on in the day, the Welsh songstress posted a video on the internet as she made her way to the palace.

"Morning everyone!" begins the stunning operatic singer, dressed in a colourful dress and beautiful pink headpiece. "We're in the car, on the way to Buckingham Palace to get my OBE which is very exciting.

"I'm also quite nervous," adds the 33-year-old.

"I really, really can't wait for this day," she says, before revealing which designers she has chosen for the special occasion.

"Going very British today, flying the flag for the UK. Dress by Preen, hat by the wonderful Philip Treacy and little purse by Anya Hindmarch."

The star goes on to send a "little message" to her fans: "Thank you for all your amazing support, I love you all and I can't wait to see you soon."

Katherine, who has performed for royalty on several occasions, will collect her New Year Honours for her services to music and charity work.

She said she was "incredibly humbled" when it was announced that she would receive the honour back in December. She said: "To accept such an award after only a decade of service to music and charity comes as a wonderful surprise.

"I share this award with the charitable bodies I am so privileged to work with, especially to those brave servicemen and women who risk so much for us all on a daily basis."
