All the details on Kim Kardashian's engagement dress

It was a particularly lavish engagement, and Kim Kardashian looked suitably stunning when Kanye West popped the question this week.

The reality TV star channeled Hollywood glamour in a feminine lilac and white Valentino dress as she accepted her boyfriend's proposal in a San Francisco stadium rented out for the occasion.

The shift dress, which was covered in delicate beadwork, was a demure and sophisticated choice, featuring long sleeves, a high neckline and falling to just above the knee.

With her Lorraine Schwartz engagement ring estimated to be worth $1.6 million, Kim's dress also came with an impressive price tag. It is stocked in exclusive London store Harrods for £4,235 (just over $6,800).

It is also very hard to get hold of. The dress is part of Valentino's fall 2013 line and is not yet available online.

But with Kanye's fashion connections and the power of Kim's celebrity status, she no doubt has her pick of gowns, and is likely to have first spotted the dress when the couple attended Valentino's Paris Fashion Week show earlier this year.

Kim is not the first famous face to wear the dress, however. English fashion designer Charlotte Ronson was spotted wearing the same design at the Brazil Foundation Gala in New York in September. And French access Lea Seydoux also stepped out in the dress at the Cannes Film Festival back in May.
