Golden Girl Selena Gomez dazzles at MTV Awards
Selena Gomez recently split with long-term boyfriend Justin Bieber, but the pop starlet appears to be moving on in style.
The 20-year-old was dazzling as she stepped onto the red carpet for the MTV Awards on Sunday evening, showing off her tall, slim frame in a gorgeous, fringed gold Julien Macdonald dress.
The Spring Breakers star, who struck a series of sultry poses for the cameras, teamed the short number with a high braid and smoky eyes.

She later changed into a red, Bollywood-style dress, taking to the stage for a performance of her latest single Come & Get It.
Another star who glittered at the ceremony in LA was songstress Kylie Minogue, who rocked a silver chain mail minidress with sheer panels that bared her midriff. More panels of electric blue injected a pop of colour into the outfit, while simple black stilettos finished the look.
Meanwhile, Zoe Saldana was the epitome of laidback elegance as she stepped onto the red carpet, showing off her perfect pins in a black Givenchy dress with floral patterns. She topped off the look with tousled tresses, red lipstick and Jimmy Choo shoes.
Flying the flag for Britain was Emma Watson, who stayed true to her typically quirky style in a graphic-print, halter neck above-the-knee dress by Maxine Simoens. Panels of black and white were a nod to the monochrome trend, while splashes of blue subtly lifted the colour palette.
The 23-year-old took to the stage to accept the Trailblazer prize for her role in the movie adaptation of The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
Selena recently split with Justin, but she insists her pop tune Come & Get it is not about her famous ex. "Honestly, to be 100 percent real, it's not really about a specific person," she told Ryan Seacret.
"The reason why I wanted this to be the first single was because it exudes...confidence and strength and that is something I'm willing to share with the world."
"That's the place I want to be in," she continued. "I want to represent something good and be a good example. So, I think it's fun."
