It seems Cara Delevingne is taking over the fashion world. Adding another accolade to her ever-increasing CV, the model of the moment has been announced as the new face of Pepe Jeans.
The hot name on the fashion world's lips, it seems that the 20-year-old has designers falling at her feet – everyone from Burberry, who she walked for in London with rumoured boyfriend Harry Styles looking on from the front row, Dolce & Gabbana and DKNY. And with a fleet of uber-stylish A-list friends including Rita Ora and Georgia Jagger, it’s no wonder Pepe Jeans called on Cara to star in their 40th anniversary SS13 Campaign.

With this new venture, Cara follows in the fashionista footsteps of previous Pepe faces Alexa Chung, Sienna Miller and Laetitia Casta. And it seems there is no better person to model the brand’s latest wares – that started on the streets of London’s Notting Hill – than the British born beauty herself.
Established since 1973, Pepe Jeans sets itself aside from fellow retailers by its unswerving attention to fit and fabrication for its trademark jeans. Cara’s eclectic personal style and hipster status is perfectly in keeping with Pepe’s renowned flare for edgy fashion.
Joined by fellow british models Mia Goth and Jeremy Young, the shoot sees Cara sporting an all demin ensemble. She strikes a sultry pose wearing a grungy acid washed jacket with faded printed jeans to match, looking cool and collected.
When asked about the Pepe Jeans campaign, the model told Vogue: "I'm very happy to be part of the team, considering the line-up before me. Alexa and Sienna are also great friends of mine."
She goes on to say that she has "a great support network - my family, my model agency Storm and people I work with in the fashion industry. And of course," she adds, "there are all my followers on Twitter who stop me from feeling lonely, I love them all. They keep me grounded."
Her fashion success has gone from strength to strength. As 2012's Model of the Year, the Victoria's Secret model's most recent triumph – Pepe Jeans campaign aside – was her cover girl shoot with Vogue. Known for her down-to-earth personality and bubbly persona, she spoke of her delight at this achievement, saying "I didn't really believe it at first. I think it's something that as a kid you look up to so much."
