Star styles: a riot of prints and bold colours at the Golden Globes

One of the most star-studded events in the film and TV calendar, the Golden Globes not only encompasses an exciting and elegant award ceremony, but a fashion parade like no other. A whirlwind of savvy A-listers show off their sartorial style every year without fail, displaying the latest wares of the hottest designers and season’s best trends.

And there was a definite theme to the many outfits that were sashayed down the red carpet this year. From sultry black to midnight blue, flower power to understated nude, an evident colour spectrum swept the scene on Sunday, with show-stopping coral and classic cream taking the reign for coolest colours of the event.

Floral prints bounced back for the prospect of spring worn by stylish celebrities Lucy Liu and British beauty Sienna Miller, while the inevitable appearance of vintage cream lace and elegant all-black were firm favourites among stars such as Eva Longoria and Amanda Seyfried.
