New York Fashion Week: Dakota Fanning, 17, gets a VIP pass to the hottest show in town
While most teenagers are struggling with exams and university entry, 17-year-old Dakota Fanning leads a rather more glamorous existence.
But as Marc Jacobs' muse and the face of his perfume Oh, Lola! the Secret Lives of Bees star has first dibs on all of his beautiful garments and, of course, a VIP pass to his shows.

The lucky young lady - who has starred opposite the likes of Tom Cruise and Sean Penn in her ten year career - joined a host of A-listers at the designer's Big Apple show.
These included newlywed director Sofia Coppola and celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe who were also helping the designer draw a glamorous line under New York Fashion Week.
Having showcased his diffusion line Marc by Marc Jacobs earlier in the week, the industry darling ensured a big finale to the fabulous event with a typically unusual runway show that was an ode to dance halls.
“I just wanted the feel of a southern dance hall,” Marc said backstage.
The set for the show featured a row of posts and beams down the centre of a wide wooden runway and the curtains opened to reveal a line of models draped over chairs.
Marc channeled different eras to shape the new look for next season.
In a true marriage of old and new, flapper dresses imagined with gigantic, plastic paillettes and silicone ankle boots combined futuristic with flashback.
He usually shows earlier in the week before editors, retailers and stylists flee for Europe.
But he changed his slot to allow more time for deliveries slowed by Hurricane Irene.
