They're both multi-million selling US artists who rose to diva status in the Eighties. And Madonna
and Whitney Houston
have plenty in common when it comes to their fashion choices too.
The singers stepped out in the same outfit – a snow leopard print Dolce & Gabbana satin shift dress – at VIP outings in Europe this week.
In Milan, the 50-year-old Material Girl joined the makers of the £1,600 outfit, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, for dinner to celebrate another performance of her Sticky & Sweet world tour.
And joining the group was Jesus Luz, Madonna's 22-year-old model boyfriend, who is the new face of the Italian fashion label.
Meanwhile in London, Whitney launched her musical comeback
- with her new album - wearing the funky knee-length number, which is the highlight of the latest D&G campaign.
A spokesperson for the fashion house couldn't say which A-lister snapped up the silhouette-skimming creation first. "It was not planned. Whitney loves Dolce & Gabbana and wears it often – as does Madonna," said the rep.
