Last week, Royal Ascot announced that jumpsuits had become part of its official dress code and women will be able to wear the all-in-ones in the Royal Enclosure, an exclusive section of the racing event.

Royal Ascot announced the inclusion of jumpsuits in the dress code

Speaking of the dress code change, Juliet Slot, commercial director at Ascot, said: "Fashion and style are an important part of the Royal Ascot experience for all of our customers.

"The annual Style Guide forms a key part of our support for customers to give them inspiration for what to wear to ensure they have a special occasion with us. The inclusion of jumpsuits as part of the Royal Enclosure dress code recognises our customers' fashion-forward taste and reflects our awareness of seasonal trends."

Also welcome in the Royal Enclosure this year are straps of once inch or greater, full-length matching trouser suits and headpieces with a base of four inches or more.

Strapless clothing, fascinators, halter necks and midriffs are still not permitted within the dress code. For male guests, morning dress is required and the top hat may be removed when in a restaurant, private box or terrace.
