Kate Upton and Sara Sampaio lip sync Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 - see the fun clips

The runway stars appear both in Vogue's New York offices and on the streets of the city

Kate Upton and Sara Sampaio have been tapped to star in a video celebrating Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 for Vogue magazine. On Monday, editors at the U.S. publication unveiled a project with the models which was helmed by director Charlotte Wales and fashion editor Jorden Bickham and filmed on the last day of New York Fashion Week earlier this month.

Celebrating the spring/summer 18 collections that showed on the catwalks, Kate and Sara are joined by other models including Elsa Hosk, Joan Smalls, Lily Aldridge and Jasmine Tookes in the music video, which shows the beauties singing along to Dolly's hit 1980 track, which accompanied the film of the same name starring Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda.

The runway stars appear both in Vogue's New York offices and on the streets of the city, with many of them posting clips of their moment in the spotlight on social media.

Kate shared a segment of the video to her Instagram page, with the footage showing her wear a red Oscar de la Renta ruby stretch wool gabardine double-breasted jacket paired with a white cotton jumpsuit and white canvas pumps, hopping about the street miming the lyrics.

"Starting my 9 to 5 with @dollyparton and @voguemagazine Wearing @oscardelarenta, by @charlottemwales and @jordenbickham," she captioned the clip.

Meanwhile, Sara uploaded a video of herself in the office alongside Jasmine and fellow beauties Hannah Ferguson and Cindy Bruna, showing all four models dancing around the desks.

"If I worked at an office this is how I would do it! Hahah had the best time @voguemagazine @helenasuric (sic)," she wrote alongside the video, also tagging her co-stars.

And you spend your life puttin’ money in his wallet because now you will buy all your basics from Tom Ford, including anti-fit jeans (hooray!). Elsa Hosk is riveting in Ford’s riveted leather; Lily Aldridge is loving the serious shoulders on her office-to-cocktail jacket. Journalists at Vogue also shared some words alongside the video online, revealing their inspiration behind the project.

"We'd found ourselves humming it often this year in the hallways of Vogue. We'd been talking about Dolly Parton a lot - her music, her style, her down-to-earth dazzle that seems so right for these dark days. It's a time to pull up one's bootstraps and one's bosom, or to get real and go big all at once," they stated. "Sometimes a song just feels right, cathartic even."
