Sarah Jessica Parker channels Carrie Bradshaw while out in New York – see photo

The Sex and the City star looked very stylish indeed!

Sarah Jessica Parker took inspiration from her alter-ego Carrie Bradshaw when she went out for dinner on Thursday night. The actress looked just as fashionable as her Sex and the City character as she enjoyed a "date" with TV host Andy Cohen, stepping out in a pair of very sparkly shoes from her fashion line, SJP Collection. The Anahita shoes, which retail at £300, were teamed with an oversized jumper and cropped trousers, and added a touch of glamour to her outfit.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Andy Cohen enjoyed an evening out in NYC

Sarah and Andy enjoyed an evening out at Cornelia Street Café in Greenwich Village, New York, somewhere Sarah was quick to recommend to fans. The star posted a photo from the evening on her Instagram account, captioning it: "@cornelia_street_cafe with my date @bravoandy, the spot of my FIRST date with my now husband. It's just that kind of a place. A Greenwich Village Institute. You'll see. X, SJ."

And while many fans were keen to try out the recommended restaurant, it was Sarah's shoes that were the main talking point. "It's always pretty neat. Those shoes though!" one wrote, while another said: "Love the shoes SJP!" A third added: "My God the shoes! Do you think Saks online would deliver to Ireland??"

Sarah's shoes also proved popular with Andy's fans, who had also posted a photo from their night out together on his Instagram account. The presenter captioned his picture: " All the classic NYC places are disappearing / glad to come back to @cornelia_street_cafe, on Cornelia Street of all places! See you on #WWHL w/ @kellyripa & @ryanseacrest! - ps sjp's shoes are @sjpcollection."

Sarah, who has two SJP collection stores in Maryland and Las Vegas, has long been considered a style icon with fans. Back in May, the talented actress took inspiration once again from Carrie after adding a pair of glitzy shoes to her collection – the Meteor Glitter T-Strap Flats. The trainer-style shoes, which retailed at £205, sold out shortly after being released, but have recently been re-released due to popular demand.
