Roksanda runway: Bright colours and flowing fabrics rule at LFW show

The show opened with an ethereal white dress

Block colours and flowing fabrics ruled the runway at the Roksanda show on day four of London Fashion Week. Models brought some much needed sunshine to the British capital on Monday in Roksanda Ilincic's spring/summer 18 collection, with the designer favouring billowing silhouettes to form-fitting pieces.

The show opened with an ethereal white dress, that had an almost haunting vibe to it, before more colour was slowly introduced.

The standout dress from the show was a bright pink floor-length number, which featured a sheer overlay covered in 3D flowers.

Another highlight was a pair of pink wide-legged trousers, that were matched with a striking yellow long-sleeved top with statement sleeves that hid the model's hands.

Ilincic also blended earthy and white tones into the line, seen in a brown tasselled motif that appeared on a top, trousers and dress.

Antonio Berardi also showed on Monday morning, with a collection spanning sensuous sheer lace, bold graphic lines and all red outfits, complete with red boots.

He mixed tailored pieces with feminine glamour, as seen on one model wearing a sheer sleeved top with black trousers. Black, white and red were the main colours utilised, though blues, greys and khaki also made appearances.

The army of models had henna inkings drawn on to their hands and lower arms, though face make-up was kept minimal throughout.

On Monday Emilia Wickstead, Hill and Friends and Ashish all showed off new season styles.
