The world’s biggest fashion icons light up the Empire State Building

The Empire State Building was lit up with photographs of Rihanna, Audrey Hepburn and Kate Moss for the 150th anniversary of Harper's Bazaar on Wednesday

New York’s iconic skyline sparkled even more than usual on Wednesday evening, when the most iconic Harper’s Bazaar magazine covers were projected onto the Empire State Building as part of the magazine’s star-studded 150th anniversary celebrations. Striking images of A-list stars adorned the city's skyline with an awe-inspiring light show that lasted over three hours. The images included Gwyneth Paltrow’s fabulous March 2012 cover, Reese Witherspoon’s February 2016 cover and Rihanna’s memorable March 2015 shoot – which saw her pay tribute to thriller movie Jaws while posing in the mouth of a great white shark.
