30% of each sale from the sophisticated collection will go to support the UK’s largest breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer Now, in their vital research. “I have supported Fashion Targets Breast Cancer for many years and I am very proud to support this year’s Fashion Strong campaign with my Twiggy for M&S Summer collection,” she said.

Discussing her latest edit, the 67-year-old continued: “The collection is about having fun with fashion – whatever your age, shape or size. It’s so easy for people to support this important campaign as this collection has something for everyone. So please join us this year and help raise money for Breast Cancer Now’s vital research so together, we can stop breast cancer.”

The line-up also includes four t-shirts emblazoned with the Fashion Strong logo, in support of  what the campaign represents. The shoot saw Twiggy joined by 12 women, all of whom have been affected by breast cancer, and who have all become firm friends throughout their years working together on previous M&S collections.

Twiggy, who shot to fame at the age of 16 as one of the world’s first supermodels, was the iconic face of the 1960s and was for her slim physique, statement pixie crop and doe-eyed expression. Today, she remains just as influential in the fashion world, and has been modelling for the British high street store since 2005. She then proved her creativity as a designer in 2012, when she showcased her very first clothing line.
