Lily Collins is 'a kid in a candy store' as she preps for the Golden Globes

She was faced with a daunting task - picking from hundreds of dazzling designer dresses for the prestigious Golden Globes red carpet.

But Lily Collins was in her element as she attended a fitting ahead of the awards ceremony.

Sharing a photograph of the room full of frocks on Instagram, Lily wrote: "Like a kid in a candy shop. It's finally time to make a decision for the @goldenglobes! This looks impossible...!"

The actress, who is nominated in the Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy category for Rules Don't Apply, proved her delight with a second snap of herself wrapped up in massive heap of stunning gowns.

"What a dream. Soaking in every moment and savoring the details..." she captioned the moment.

 Another star to share her red carpet prep is Blake Lively. The actress shared a snap of Instagram of herself surrounded by her glam squad.

 "I did not wake up like this," she wrote, thanking all of her team in the post.

 And Emma Stone's make-up artist Rachel Goodwin posted a picture of the fun-loving actress as she was getting ready for the night.

 "Some say beauty is pain, others say it is just ridiculous! And so is prepping for the #goldenglobeswith this hilarious human being!" Rachel captioned the snap of Emma trialling a Korean lip mask.
