Exclusive Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne interview

Hello! Fashion Monthly talk to the supermodel duo about social media, insecurities and how their famous friendship began

Kate Moss, 41, has been a household name since she stormed onto the fashion scene aged just 14, while Cara Delevingne, 23, has captured a whole new generation with 20 million followers on social media and a tongue-in-cheek attitude to the industry.

It’s no surprise then that they are two of the world’s highest-paid supermodels. So what happened when HELLO! Fashion Monthly interviewed them at Milan Fashion Week? We quickly realised that we were just there for the ride.

"We understood each other as soon as we met,” Cara tells us. “I definitely did a lot of growing up in-between when we first met and now. She taught me to be my own person and to say no and to not live for other people.” It’s easy to see that the pair are as close in real-life as they are on camera, with Kate calling Cara “fearless.” When we bring up social media, Kate reveals that she does in fact have an account that she uses for “spying”: “I have to, otherwise I wouldn’t know what anyone was talking about!”

Oh, and if you were wondering if Kate had any hidden talents, you’d be right. “I made jam and it is so delicious! My signature jam is damson or quince and it’s called Kate’s Sweet and Sticky.”
